The producer of this show is a person named WT Naud, which could be either associated with Barris, B&E, or none of the above. This brings me to another question revolving around its existance. Let's say that it is associated with Barris, who did a great job of preserving their programs. Was their any records of the show being destroyed? Actual documents that state that the show was erased? And what if the episodes did suddenly turned up? Would they belong to GSN, since they own the Barris library?

BTW, does anyone remember any brilliant or racy couplets?

Rhyme and Reason, a 1975-1976 ABC game hosted by Bob Eubanks. Infamous for its finale; the panelists tore up the set over the course of the show.

Wasn't "The Girl in My Life" with Fred Holliday a Naud production as well?  Barris and B&E weren't involved as far as I know with R&R.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

WIlliam T. Naud supposedly is responsible to some degree for Blank Check, too :)

The one line-and-reply that I remember went like this:

"Jaye P. Morgan did one of her bits."
(Jaye P. was chosen.)  "Jaye P. Morgan showed her--" Cuckoo!  Cuckoo!
Protecting idiots from themselves just leads to more idiots.

In this case, the Naud was Tom--and he could've been for real, since I believe his daughter was one of the models on "Girl in My Life."  She used the name of "Mindy" back then, but she must've had a friend at ABC--with the first name of "Melinda," she was a regular on the prime time sitcoms "Operation Petticoat" and "Detective School--One Flight Up," despite not possessing any comedic sense at all.  But there were other reasons she got the gigs--perhaps you all can you figure them out for yourself.  :)

Right you are!  I remember reading in a book about ABC -- unfortunately, the name of the book and the author's name escape me, but I know I don't own it -- that one of the ABC execs in the late '70s (not Silverman -- Fred Pierce?  Tony Thomopoulos?  Leonard Goldenson?) took a shine to Melinda Naud (in sort of a William Randolph Hearst/Marion Davies way, but without the sex) and kept her in Operation: Petticoat after the rest of the cast was jettisoned, and then Detective School (: One Flight Up).  Naud left the business soon after, but she was no dummy; she allowed him to nurse his crush and keep placing her in shows, bad as they were.  (Also, if her dad had been in the business for awhile, she must have known her way around.)

Back to Rhyme & Reason:  I posted a theory on my web site that Naud was a front for either Barris or Dan Enright.  But it's just a theory, kids.

Using Yahoo search, I found a few interesting things - a few movie sites like Movies.com list Bill Naud as a producer/writer/director for several projects through 1989, including one rather interesting one - a 1973 film called Black Jack. Unless someone is pulling our leg, listen to this lineup:

among the stars: Georg Stanford Brown, Brandon de Wilde, Keenan Wynn, Dick Gautier, Robert Lansing, Bernie Kopell and Larry Hovis.

Director: William Naud, who also wrote the script, based on a story by Naud, Gautier, and Peter Marshall.

Executive producer: Ralph Andrews (!?!)

In 2002, he wrote a negative review on a Hewlett-Packard photo printer for everythingusb.com, stating : "I am President of a film production company at Warner's..I bought a ...blahblahblah. DC productions." Could this be our guy?

Not long after Rhyme and Reason left the air, I asked Dan Enright whatever happened to Naud. He said (then), disappeared, nowhere to be found. Wonder if they ever crossed paths again. Dan was involved in a few movies, but I don't spot any connection between some of Dan's stuff and Naud's (shared staff, etc.). However, I once made some comment about one of my boys' middle names "being named after Ralph Andrews." He suggested I never name anybody after Ralph Andrews. Wonder why? Just professional jealousy - or had they crossed paths??? Makes you go "Hmmmmm..." But considering contestants on his Lingo never got paid....
